Design

The architectural design process consists of a series of successive phases aimed at generating the graphic proposal to solve the accommodation needs of an architectural work. This process begins with the understanding of the specific accommodation needs and culminates with the graphic presentation of the proposed solution.

To carry out the architectural design effectively, it is crucial to thoroughly understand the people who will use the work to be designed. It is essential to ask them about their architectural needs and available resources.

Knowing their needs, desires, routines and ideas is fundamental to developing a design that responds to their requirements and expectations. The first questions in this process are fundamental: Who will be the users of the project? Where will it be located? What activities will be carried out there? What financial and technological resources will be available for its construction?

The architect, when designing, is based on the needs of the people who will use the work, on the characteristics of the environment where it will be built and on the available material and technical resources.

Architectural design unfolds through a process that starts with the knowledge of specific housing needs and culminates with the graphic proposal to solve those needs.

In an architectural project, the most fundamental elements are the plans. The size and functionality of the design determine the number of drawings required, since designing an industrial building differs significantly from designing a residential building.
